A Fallow Season: Your Ministry Needs a Time of Quiet to Thrive-Trisha Peach 22616
Good growth can happen in slow seasons but we have trouble taking time off in Children’s Ministry. While it seems as though other areas of the church can take a breather, Children’s Ministry seems like the train that cannot stop. Jesus said that He will give us rest but we have to make intentional space for that rest to occur. Years ago our leadership decided to take the summertime off from Children’s Ministry with the exception of our Vacation Bible School and childcare for 0-5 on Sundays only. That shift in mindset, while not a typical one, has nurtured families and provided space for worship and connection in ways that are now essential to our ministry. If you’d like to hear about what a fallow season is and why it’s good for crops and even better for kids and families, this is the session for you.
