Weekends are typically the most engaging part of ministry. People come to your location and you are able to love on them and invite them to a worship experience. Then Monday comes. Though it feels like it comes without warning, there is a Monday following every Sunday. Mondays are when families raising children with special needs start fighting their battles, looking for resources, and searching for any amount of hope they can find to help them make it through the next five days. What if we switched from thinking the weekends were our power hour and started being intentional about walking with families on Monday morning? How can the church walk in step with the special needs family to provide resources, encouragement, and hope throughout the week?
