Jim Wideman

Jim Wideman is a pastor, speaker, author, and Kidmin Pioneer with more than 45 years of experience serving in all areas of the local church, including 17 years leading one of the largest children's ministries in the US. Jim has trained thousands of children's ministry leaders in the US and around the world. He has worked with 6 different thriving churches in the span of almost 5 decades and he has published over 15 books. 

Although he has been called one of the Fathers of the Modern Children's and Family Ministry Movements for the work he's done in pioneering these ministries, Jim remains actively engaged in helping ministries and ministers to not just do what's always been done but to keep moving forward in discovering the best methods to disciple kids and parents alike today. 

Jim currently serves as the Executive Operations Pastor at The Belonging Church in Nashville, Tennessee. Jim and his wife, Julie, have celebrated 42 years (and counting!) of marriage and they have 2 grown daughters and 3 of the cutest grandsons you'd ever meet.
